Analytics
mindami uses Google Analytics on its production Hugo pages to understand broad traffic trends: which pages people read, how they arrive, and the general kinds of browsers and devices involved. Google operates the analytics service and processes the resulting data.
The site configures Google Analytics with Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals disabled. Analytics cookies expire when the browser session ends. The tag does not load when a browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
We do not assign user IDs, build custom visitor profiles, or add custom interaction events. The independently built application at /birdsy/ does not receive this Hugo analytics tag.
Google Analytics may receive the page URL, referring page, device and browser information, analytics-cookie identifiers, and approximate location derived from the connection’s IP address. Google states that GA4 discards the IP address before logging or storing analytics data. See Google’s description of Analytics data safeguards for its account of the machinery.
These technical choices reduce collection. They are not a legal opinion, a declaration of anonymity, or proof that anybody has finally completed privacy.
You can block the analytics script, use a browser privacy signal, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The rest of the site does not depend on analytics and should continue working when it is blocked.
